ECA GROUP: THE RIGHT PARTNER FOR ATMOSPHERIC MEASUREMENTS, EARTH AND SPACE OBSERVATION

Stratospheric balloons are used for scientific research. They are released into the upper atmosphere to perform experiments and to collect data and imagery from near space. These results serve to gain deeper insights into the fields of atmosphere, climate and space observation. Balloons can also test an equipment’s performance in outer space before boarding it on a satellite.

Filled with helium, stratospheric balloons are the only type of vehicle that can operate in an altitude of 15 to 45 km, which is too low for satellites, too high for aircraft and cleared too quickly by rockets.

ECA GROUP SUPPLIES HIGH-TECH CONTROL AND COMMAND SYSTEMS FOR STRATOSPHERIC BALLOONS

ECA GROUP provides space agencies with high-tech on-board equipment and ground stations to pilot and locate stratospheric balloons with great precision.

Its systems are operational for both long and short balloon flight missions.

ECA GROUP’s equipment is failsafe and reliable, and complies with safety regulations and aerial rules of balloon missions. After all, ECA GROUP has been an expert in radio communication & radio frequency for 50 years.

TURNKEY SOLUTIONS FOR OPERATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC APPLICATIONS WITHIN EXPERIMENTAL BALLOONS MISSIONS

ECA GROUP supplies not only the on-board computer, the “brain” and key component of the balloon control system, but also all on-board and ground communication elements via satellite or radio link.

ECA GROUP offers turnkey solutions :

  • To connect the scientific payload to the operational means of the space agency
  • To study the integration of the payload and meet the constraints and requirements of the severe flight environment.

Acclaimed by science and research clients, ECA GROUP has proven to be a reliable partner for secure communication between radio-freqency equipment and satellites, ensuring data transmission between board and ground and offering maximum speed to the scientific channel.
