Current MCM technics implies a slow mine detection process with ship hull mounted sonar, which has for consequences that many MCMVs are required to hunt for mines in a given coast area for a country. Multiplying the detection capabilities with ROVs, AUVs and USVs equipped each with detection sonars, extend the surface covered with fewer ships.
