The Auxiliary Electric Propulsion Motor for Surface Vessel applications is a hybrid propulsion system developed by ECA Group. It has been specially engineered for the Kangnam shipyards, as part of the MSH II project for the Korean navy. The system is made up with one VSD power cabinet and two 130kW electric motors. Main advantages are: High efficiency and maneuverability, responsiveness and silence. This equipment can easely be adapted for submarines.
