ECA Group solutions to be presented at Unmanned Maritime Systems  2018

ECA Group is deploying strong R&D efforts to design the naval drones of the futur able to reduce human exposure to threats. To do so, ECA Group aims at making fully autonomous integrated systems able to collaborate and to inter-communicate.

ECA Group latest innovation in this domain is the fully integrated UMIS - Unmanned Mine Counter Measures Integrated System UMIS suite. This fully autonomous system is able to complete a mission by combining several unmanned maritime robotic solutions (AUV / ROV / EMDS) deployed automatically from a naval platform, using a LARS system: 

• Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs)
• Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)
• Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)
• Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs)

UMIS capabilities have been successfully demonstrated to conduct:

• Coastal and port infrastructures protection operations: UMIS for Security is a system organized in a fleet of different naval robots embedded with sensors to detect, prevent, or for response in order to fight against terrorism, malicious or activism acts.

• Underwater Mine warfare operations:  ECA Group's  A9-M or A18-M AUV and SEASCAN MK2 ROV can automatically be deployed from any naval platform to conduct missions in life-threatening areas. While conduction the mission, operators can stay at a stand-off distance from the minefield. From that safety spot, operators can run inspection, detection and neutralization of potential threats.
