The Monaco Oceanography Institute has launched a 3-year worldwide campaign to run a coral collection to check the status of the deep coral reefs surrounding waters.

What can be performed by divers in very shallow waters requires a dedicated ROVs for deep waters.

To answer this need ECA Group delivered a  H800 ROV, specifically developed to operate at 1000 meters depth.

It is equipped, with a sonar, an acoustic positioning system with 3 transponders, a 5 function electric manipulator arm, and a motorized 6 compartments special receiver, able to store the coral sample and its surrounding water.

The delivery and commissioning of the ROV took place early 2017, together with the training of the operators.
