ECA Group has just completed the first flight of its Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) Ummanned Aerial Vehicle IT180 with its Ground Control Station (GCS) of new generation. This GCS developed in partnership with Delair-Tech can be used to perform security missions (ISTAR Type: Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance) and/or missions for civilian applications.
This unique GCS allows to control several types of aerial vectors (DT26X fixed-wing from Delair-Tech and UAV IT180 VTOL from ECA Group), independently or simultaneously while being able to hot-switch from one vector to the other. The intuitive graphical user interface provides an easy and immediate learning ergonomics for the main operations.
The operator can control and manage the aerial vectors thanks to the video feedback display and cartography mission follow-up. In addition, the GCS allows the operator to perform mission training using the integrated 3D-Missions simulator.
This development strengthens the partnership between Delair-Tech and ECA Group in the area of professional aerial drones and associated equipment and services. ECA Group and Delair-Tech are the only French companies that have designed and developed their minidrones from scratch, especially autopilot, technological key feature of an autonomous system.
