After a half-year long evaluation of the market, the companies have signed a partnership agreement to provide the offshore sector with inspection and survey services using an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle: A18D AUV.
Designed and manufactured by ECA Group , the A18D AUV is to operate up to 3000m depth autonomously for 24 hours. It allows to carry out missions of inspection and 3D mapping of funds before or after construction / installation of an underwater structure, a pipeline or a cable and also before, during or after dismantling operations. underwater installations.
Within the framework of this contract, ECA Group will provide Petrus with the AUV and operational support. The latter, is expected to lead and coordinate missions from preparation to data processing and delivery of results to the customer.
A cumulative turnover of 6 million euros over the next 4 years is guaranteed by the partnership to ECA Group. Depending on the commercial success, additional A18D AUVs could be commissioned.
This is largest ever signed by ECA Group agreement in the AUV sector for Oil & Gas.
