Home Cinema standards imagery for ECA Group ROVs : The H800 Full HD is coming !

These ROVs will accomplish the missions of subsea inspections and light works for the management of assets integrity in Oil & Gas activity sector (Subsea inspection of Risers,  I-tubes, Pipelines...),  as well as missions for oceanographic researches of marine fauna & flora.

Both operated in shallow and deep waters, hence offer a double configuration, with 300m and 1000m umbilical cables, installed on motorized winches ; in both cases the ROV will be deployed with their free-swimming fibre-optic umbilical cable directly from the vessel, without the need for a TMS cage. These H800 ROVs are equipped with a top of the art equipments: electric five function manipulator arm for the recovery of objects, 360° scanning sonar for the avoidance of obstacles, altimeter with auto-altitude function for the seabed survey and USBL acoustic positioning system for pipelines tracking.

But the utmost equipment to be installed on these observation class ROVs is its full HD TV camera delivering a live 1080p video image and its real time video recording on deck without the use of any internal built in memory.

1080p live full HD technology gives an accuracy of images and a wide spread of colours that no any SD or standard HD resolution could offer, thus granting to operators the possibility of seeing Fauna & Flora details beyond standard quality in order to identify and qualify up to the smallest details, such as marine micro-organisms, that would be missed in SD or HD mode.

Thereby reproducing the standards of Home Cinema quality at 1000m depth.
