Inspection, an essential for a well-maintained borehole

Inspecting a water networks is essential to check and prevent dysfunctions. Costly and important repairs come with damaging resulting from:

• The main casing :through-wall cracks, deformation;
• The filter screen: clogging, metal tear;
• Chemical pollution.

As a consequence, the well does not yield the required flow of water, or yields a flow of water which is undrinkable.

ECA GROUP's BH viewer 500 system will allow the customer to prevent such consequences by conducting systematic maintenance through the visual inspection of the entire well.

Requirements for Explosion proof systems

In some cases, emissions of gases or dust presenting an explosive risk can be encountered within the borehole to inspect, requiring the systems to be explosion proof - (Ex) certified.

To meet that demand, the ECA GROUP offers the BH VIEWER 500, a top-of-the-art TV inspection system incorporating a high resolution swivelling head colour TV camera and a powerful lighting that can inspect wells with an Internal Diameter ranging from 4 to 32’’.

On customer's request, the system has been customized with an Ex certified camera, instead of a standard camera: The DTR 65 HRC EX.

It is an ATEX certified Ex TV camera designed to inspect wells up to 500m depth to be used inside wells of diameter ranging from 100 to 400 mm.
