ECA Group launches a 3D-printed drilling system for Aircraft Manufacturers and Maintenance
With the 3D-printing technology, ECA Group developed a mobile drilling template system using a vacuum pad device. This system allows drilling on aircraft parts during production phases or aircraft maintenance.
Thanks to this innovative 3D-printing process, ECA Group customers benefit from:
- A very short production cycle for on-demand applications
- A greater rigidity and an adaptability to the environment with the possibility of producing complex or multifaceted shapes
- The integration of diverse pneumatic networks allowing to hold the drilling template and to use various ways of hole-drilling such as pneumatics, cutting oil, etc…
