ECA Group completes successfully the assembly line relocation in St Nazaire Airbus plant
ECA Group has been entrusted with the project of designing and mounting a new Assembly Line on AIRBUS plant in St-Nazaire.
This major industrial project required ECA Group engineers to improve the existing production plant capacities within the actual production development program. It involves ECA Group to relocate the equipping & testing production lines and technical teams.
ECA Group managed all phases of the project from engineering, design, drawing, manufacturing, on-site integration and setting up.
This complex and challenging project involved the equipment of two entire assembly lines - front and central section pulse line - covering an area of more than 2300 SQM and included several working stations dedicated to specific works or visits.
ECA Group delivered advanced solutions in providing ergonomic platforms complying with safety standards, with all needed utilities and accessories.
This project assignment underlines ECA Group’s organizational structure and expertise in engineering, design, measurement and tools handling. Engineers and Technicians succeeded in providing AIRBUS withan innovative concept for shifting the existing equipment lines in a timely manner, without affecting the ongoing operations and with respect to working environment and safety-related requirements.
ECA Group managed to deliver this multi-dimensional project on target and on schedule following contractual objectives.
As planned, the new front section line started its production in December 2017 and the installation of the central section is now completed.
