ECA Group awarded a contract for water networks inspection systems by Riga Water Authority

Traditional way of running an overall inspection of a waste water pipe is to introduce inside the pipe an electric trolley carrying the TV camera. Before that, a preliminary hydro-cleaning operation is required, since the progression of the trolley over long distances implies that the pipes should be clean.

ECA Group is awarded, via its agent UAB Hidora, a contract for two Z-Pipe Viewer systems which will be used by the Riga Water Authority for drawing a swift diagnosis of the city's waste water network.

For inspection aiming at the search for major dysfunction of the network (such as deposit, root, collapse, penetrating lateral pipe…) ECA Group's Z-Pipe Viewer system is the accurate solution: this portable system enables to quickly proceed to a swift inspection of pipes with diameter from 100 to 800 mm, directly from a manhole: the operator introduces a pole equipped with a powerful zoom TV camera and associated lights, allowing to view the pipe over on distance up to 30 m, in both directions.
