ECA Group is involved in a strategic industrial project consisting of conceptualizing, designing and engineering a new specific aeronautics production process for critical engine tooling sectors.
A major Original Equipment Manufacturer chose ECA Group to develop an innovative multi-technologies production line dedicated to producing critical titanium engine parts.
This strategic industrial project, comes at a key time to respond to new engine programs and to production ramp-up challenges from most of aircraft manufacturers. In today’s environment, the production processes involved will greatly accelerate to face ramp-up aircraft production.
ECA Group has been selected for its expertise in the areas of Robotics, Automatism, Mechanics (mechanical transitic systems - part of the project) and Tooling.
As part of the scope of the project, ECA Group’s mission will consist of conceptualizing the whole industrial process, including not only:
- Engineering the various components of the automated and robotized production line,
- Implementing the specific process of applying a protective coating to the metal parts on the transitic systems -whether they are overhead or on ground-,
But will also include heat treatment processes.
This project is a real challenge in terms of concept development, industrial design, manufacturing process and installing within a requested very short time frame and with the objective of a production line fully operational by the end of 2nd semester 2017.
Moreover ECA Group brought adequate and improved solutions to optimize the process of this new production line and therefore respond to overall market opportunities in aeronautics.
