ECA Group's Contra rotative UAV I180 can perform missions such as forest fire surveillance or search and rescue, as explained on Eurosatory 2018.
The main area of drone use for fire fighters is against fire reignition and outdoor search and rescue. However it is also used to deal with traffic accidents, search missions or natural disasters.
For fire fighting, in forest or in town, drones enable to closely follow and analyse the situation in real-time and forecast fire progression.
The local topography can also be surveyed to caliber the intervention.
Indoor, aerial drones are also used to search for alternative path and crossing points
